What is K-Packet?

A special international mail service by Korea Post for small, light items and gifts. It behaves like a parcel but is handled as a simplified letter-post class — which keeps the price low.

  • Best under ₩50,000 (~$33). For higher-value items we recommend EMS instead.
  • Tracked on the Korea Post site, and on the destination postal site once it arrives in-country.
  • Mailbox delivery — no signature, so please consider your mailbox environment.
💡 Heads up: the final shipping cost depends on the packed weight and volume, so we confirm the exact amount after your items are packed, then request payment — the same as EMS.

ProcessingIntake can take up to 5 business days

K-Packet isn't shipped every day. Because volume is low, we batch parcels and send them together, so there can be a wait of up to 5 business days before hand-off. (Korea Post doesn't do pickup for a single K-Packet item.)

However, if an EMS shipment goes out the same day, your K-Packet ships with it that day too.

Frequently asked questions

QHow long does delivery take?

It varies a lot by country — as short as 7 business days, and up to 30 days. The US, our most common destination, usually arrives in about 10 days (longer in peak seasons).

Some regions (parts of Africa, the Middle East, Russia) can take up to 60 days. DahaeDream isn't responsible for delivery delays.

QIs there a tracking number?

Yes — a tracking number is provided. You can check it on the Korea Post website, and on the local postal website once the parcel reaches your country.

Tracking detail depends on the country/region; the US shows detailed status in most states.

QHow much are shipping and fees?

Shipping is priced by weight and destination. See the shipping fee guide for details.

On top of Korea Post shipping, there's a DahaeDream service fee (packing included):

Buying agent ₩1,500 (~$1)Package forwarding ₩5,000 (~$3.3)
QAre there any limits?

Weight: up to 2 kg (Myanmar & Papua New Guinea: 500 g).

Size: the longest side must be ≤ 60 cm, and after packing, length + girth (girth = 2 × the two shorter sides) must not exceed 90 cm. Minimum 14 × 9 cm.

QCan I combine it with an EMS order?

If you also have an EMS shipment going out, your K-Packet can ship the same day instead of waiting for the next batch. Otherwise it goes out with the next K-Packet batch (up to 5 business days).

Please readImportant note on lost parcels

Unlike EMS, K-Packet is dropped in your mailbox rather than handed to you. Rarely, a parcel can be lost:

  • After delivery — taken from the mailbox. Please think twice if your mailbox is in an exposed spot.
  • In transit — during handling at the destination post office.

Korea Post does not compensate for lost K-Packet items, and DahaeDream can't be held responsible either. For higher-value items, we recommend EMS.

In our experience the loss rate is around 1% (1 in 100). Please keep this in mind when choosing K-Packet.
